Their adventure started in 2010 extensively playing live, then MTV New Generation aired The Kolors first video ‘I Don’t Give a Funk’ and in the following years they played as a resident band for historical Milan live venue ‘Le Scimmie’- paying their dues in more than 500 shows in two years. In those years the band even got the chance of playing in Europe (Uk, Sweden) and of supporting international acts like Paolo Nutini, The Gossip, Hurts and Atoms For Peace for their Italian shows and released the first, self produced, album “I Want”.
2015 is a turning point for the band as they win Italian TV talent show “Amici” and release their 4 platinum album “OUT”, scoring a new record for an Italian band, being 1st in the Italian album chart for more than two months, and 3rd best selling album in Italy in 2015. Their hit single, platinum selling ‘EVERYTIME’, has millions of clicks on the internet and has been the soundtrack of Vodafone Italia commercials starring Bruce Willis for more than 1 year. On July 2015 The Kolors embarked on their sold out tour throughout Italy and, on September, they played at EXPO Milan for an audience of more than 11.000, had a nomination as Best Italian Act for MTV EUROPEAN MUSIC AWARDS, and made it on the front cover of ROLLING STONE Italian issue. In 2016 the band won several awards and, in the same year, The Kolors played 2 sold out events, in Rome and Milan, and were picked by THE1975 as support act for their show in Rome.
In 2017 the band released the comeback single: “WHAT HAPPENED LAST NIGHT (FEAT.GUCCI MANE & DADDY’S GROOVE)” – with a video which was shot in Japan by YouNuts Production – an anticipation of their long awaited third album ‘YOU’ released on May 19. ‘YOU’ is an addictive mix o genres, combining rock, funk, electro, pop, trap, dance and everything in between and, in addition to USA rapstar Gucci Mane and international producers Daddy’s Groove, features ex Oasis and Beady Eye Andy Bell and Gem Archer on the last track ‘Dream Alone’ and, behind the desk, Muse sidekick Tommaso Colliva, and ‘Spike’ Stent (Coldplay, Madonna, One Republic, Ed Sheeran) with his team (Dave Emery and Geoff Swan).
The Kolors released in June 2017 the second single from the album ‘Crazy’, right before starting their summer tour that ended on September 30 with a show at Open Air Theatre in Milan.
